These skills are not only helpful but often critical for success as a Construction Project Manager. To participate, attendees need only a basic familiarity with construction methods and procedures. Dr. Hanna is a distinguished researcher and author in the fields of labour productivity, company productivity, project management, estimating, change orders, LEAN construction and project delivery systems. He is the most cited researcher in construction productivity and has taught thousands of seminars on construction techniques and management skills in the United States, Canada and worldwide.
Dr. Hanna is the Boldt Company Professor and Chair of the Program in Construction Engineering & Management at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Dr. Hanna is an Elected Member of the National Academy of Construction and is a national speaker to the National Electrical Contractors Association and Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada.
Dr. Holzinger is a Distinguished Adjunct Professor at the Schulich School of Business, York University in Toronto. At Schulich, he serves as the Director for the Strategy Field Study, the capstone project for the Schulich MBA Program. He also is the Course Coordinator for MGMT5150 – Skills for Leadership and the Program Director for the Schulich Mini-MBA at the Schulich Executive Education Centre. Before joining Schulich in 2003, Dr. Holzinger completed his Ph.D. in Management at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
As the Managing Partner of Paradoxon Consulting, Dr. Holzinger engages in management consulting and executive development with a focus on leadership, change processes in organizations, creativity, and alternative forms of organizing. He has worked with companies and organizations such as Bank of Montreal (BMO), Toyota Canada, University Health Network, P&G, Cargill, and the Ontario Association of Children's Aid Societies. His academic work has been published in the Academy of Management Review, the Journal of Business Research, the Journal of Managerial Psychology and Advances in Strategic Management.
Dr. Holzinger has taught in university degree and executive programs in North America, South America, Asia and Europe. Ingo is the winner of the Seymour Schulich Award for Teaching Excellence (2nd Place) in 2004 and has received thirteen nominations for the Award in the past 17 years.
